Troubles brewing at the borders and something isn’t normal about it. All the factions are preparing for something and civilians are disappearing at the borders! Are these events connected? Whatever the reason might be, you'll soon learn that all war comes at a price, and no matter who remains standing, only The War will ever win.

THE FORTUNES OF WAR

- Battle opposing factions as Astera to unravel the faith of the kingdom.

- Every story has another side. Play as all the other factions in their version of the story.

- Branching storyline, where your action affects the story and the faith of the kingdom.

- Unlock unique structures, units and magic cards.

- Stray from your mission to help other commanders, and recruit them.

- Finish quests to unlock unique cards.

- Win battles, get resources and upgrade your units to unlock special abilities.

- Play local multiplayer mode with a friend.

Turn-based Battles

- Staying faithful to classic turn-based games and adding a spin of card games.

- Place cards on the battlefield which can be units to do the heavy lifting in battle, structure to provide turn-based perks or protection, or magic actions to enhance your units, or mess with the enemy units.

- Placing cards cost energy, which is something you need to look after, or else it might come back to bite you in crucial moments and can potentially lead to defeat!

Deck Building

- Deck building is a very important step in preparing for battle.

- Cards have varying amounts of cost and you need to strike a balance between having more strong cards that need more energy to place or weaker cards that need less energy.

Unlocking and Upgrading Cards

- Completing story missions, or doing quests will unlock cards…. or you can always buy them off the shady merchant.

- Unlocking cards is only the first step, using the resource from battle, you can upgrade your cards to unlock unique abilities to gain an edge in battle.

Side quests

- Help civilians to get precious resources to upgrade your units and structures

- Help fellow commanders to recruit them on your noble journey and to use their unique set of abilities.
