We Happy Few is the tale of a fearless bunch of moderately awful people trying to escape from a lifetime of joyful disowning in the city of Wellington Wells. Set in a drug-fueled, retro futuristic city in a different 1960s England, you’ll have to balance it with its other residents, who don’t take friendly to people who don’t stand by their not-so-normal rules.

We Happy Few is an action-adventure video game developed by Compulsion Games and published by Gearbox Publishing. In 2016, an early access version was released for Windows, with the full game seeing wide release for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One in August 2018.

Set in a retro futuristic 1960s, you will discover a city destroyed by war and restored by delusional joyful people. - learn how to relate with the other members of your civilization, and select stealth, conformity, or combat,

- meet dozens of in-game unique events,

- adapt to the specific local habits by learning to behave consequently, and taking your Joy,

- gather recipes, search items, and craft dozens of weapons, gears, and devices,

- fight with your bare hands or the crazy weapons you make, and look out for traps, or learn how to use them to your benefit.

A MATURE STORY

We Happy Few’s characters are not distinctive video game heroes. They are blemished and not mainly heroic, changed by the trauma their world has been done. Each character has their own story that responds to the events of the world around them and their place within it. Our stories are certainly not suitable for children but are fastened with dark humor, hope, and even a spot of redemption.

In the last version of We Happy Few, you will experience:

- a procedurally created world, meaning that everybody’s experience will be unique,

- three styles: sandbox, story, and Wellie mode,
