What is PlayStation Plus?

PlayStation Plus is a service that enhances your existing free PlayStation Network account. When you become a member of PlayStation Plus, you will have access to premium gaming features and special offers via PlayStation Store.

What does PlayStation Plus include?

PlayStation Plus includes premium gaming features such as Full Game Trials and Automatic Update, which allows you to automatically sync your trophies, receive the latest system software, download game updates and more. PlayStation Plus also includes PlayStation Store special offers, such as game downloads, discounts, early access to demos and beta trials and other exclusive goodies.

What are PlayStation Plus special offers?

PlayStation Plus games & special offers include PSN games, minis and PS one classics, game add-ons, premium avatars and dynamic themes to download each month. Members also get exclusive PlayStation Store discounts and early/exclusive access to selected demos and beta trials.

What is Full Game Trial?

Full Game Trial lets you download the full version of a game to play on a trial basis at no extra cost for a limited period of time. Your progress will be saved and the trophies you earn will be unlocked if you purchase the game after the trial period. The length of playable time and duration after download varies on a game-by-game basis and will be specified at the time of download.

HOW IS PLAYSTATION PLUS CHANGING?

PlayStation Now is merging with PlayStation Plus and will be a new multi-tiered PlayStation Plus service. Benefits currently available under PlayStation Plus and PlayStation Now will all be part of the new PlayStation Plus service.

IF I SUBSCRIBE TO THE PLAYSTATION PLUS, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY MEMBERSHIP WHEN THE SERVICE CHANGES?

If your membership does not expire before the service changes, you will be migrated into a new PlayStation Plus membership plan that retains all of the features and benefits and you have paid for with PlayStation Plus

I'M A PLAYSTATION PLUS MEMBER. WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MY SUBSCRIPTION WHEN THE NEW PLAYSTATION PLUS LAUNCHES?

When the new service launches, your membership will roll into PlayStation Plus Essential and you will retain access to the same PlayStation Plus benefits you enjoy today. Your recurring membership fee and payment date will remain the same as well. 

IF I AM SUBSCRIBED TO BOTH PLAYSTATION PLUS AND PLAYSTATION NOW, WHAT HAPPENS TO MY SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENT DATA?

If you are subscribed to both services when the new PlayStation Plus launches, you will be migrated into the PlayStation Plus Premium membership plan and you will have a new single payment date based on the longer of your two subscriptions. You will be notified via email of your new payment date and subscription fee. 

I HAVE A LOT OF PRE-PAID (STACKED) TIME LEFT ON MY MEMBERSHIP. WILL IGET TO KEEP THAT AFTER THE NEW SERVICE LAUNCHES?

Yes, you will get to keep all of your pre-paid time within the new service.

I AM AN EXISTING PLAYSTATION PLUS AND/OR PLAYSTATION NOW MEMBER. WHY DO I GET AN ERROR MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO ADD TIME TO MY MEMBERSHP EITHER BY APPLYING A MEMBERSHIP VOUCHER?

As we prepare to launch the new PlayStation Plus membership service, we are doing some work behind the scenes to make the transition as smooth as possible for all of our existing members. As part of this work, we’ve temporarily disabled stacking memberships for existing customers until after the launch. Rest assured that your voucher code is still valid, and you will be able to redeem your code either when your existing membership expires and deactivates, or after the new PlayStation Plus service launches in your area, whichever happens first.

I HAVE A PLAYSTATION PLUS OR PLAYSTATION NOW 1-MONTH, 3-MONTH, OR 12-MONTH MEMBERSHIP VOUCHER. WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF I REDEEM IT BEFORE THE NEW PLAYSTATION PLUS SERVICE LAUNCHES?

If you do not have an active membership:  

> The PlayStation Plus voucher you redeem will provide you access to PlayStation Plus Essential for the length of time denoted on your original voucher. For example, a one-month PlayStation Plus voucher will provide access to one month of PlayStation Plus Essential. 

>  The PlayStation Now voucher you redeem will provide you access to PlayStation Plus Premium for the length of time equivalent to the monetary value of your original voucher. For example, a one-month PlayStation Now voucher will provide access to approximately 3 weeks of PlayStation Plus Premium. 

If you are an existing customer: 

> The PlayStation Plus or PlayStation Now voucher you redeem will be converted to a length of time on your current PlayStation Plus membership plan equivalent to the monetary value of the voucher you are redeeming. For example, a 1-month PlayStation Plus voucher will provide access to approximately 3 weeks of PlayStation Plus Extra or approximately 2.5 weeks of PlayStation Plus Premium.
